Cross-border economic
development:
In
collaboration with inSAR Consult and on behalf of the EAST-WEST
Institute, the Regional Development Plan for the GPKT micro-region in
southern Serbia, former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia and Kosovo has
been elaborated with special focus on economic co-operation strategies.
The development plan provides substantial information about the
economic and social situation in the region and proposes a set of
possible measures for a sustainable and integrated cross border
development.
The results have been presented to the regional stakeholders and
municipalities in Kumanovo/FYROM.

Operational Programme for Bulgaria and Romania 2007-2013
Cross-border development in South
Eastern Europe.
On
behalf of the Romanian Ministry of European Integration and Louis
Berger, the strategy of the Operational Programme for the Cross Border
programme areas along the danube river has been elaborated with special
focus on economic co-operation strategies. The development programme
provides substantial information about the economic and social
situation in the region and proposes a set of priorities and key-areas
for a sustainable and integrated cross border development.
Establishment of a contact network
for ETC programmes in Romania and Bulgaria 2007-2013
European Territorial Cooperation
in South Eastern Europe.
On
behalf of the INTERACT office - Managing Transition and external
Cooperation in Vienna - and against the background of extensive working
experience in South-Eastern Europe, a contact network of relevant
stakeholders for European Territorial Cooperation programmes has been
identified and set up. The contact network aimed to serve as a basis
for the national contact points for an efficient and quick information
management in regard with ETC programmes 2007 - 2013.
Setting up local Helpdesks for IPR
and enforcement support for European SMEs
Foster European SMEs innovation

On
behalf of the German Patent and Trademark Office the German workpackage
for an IP related project, co-financed through the Competitive and
Innovation Framework Programme (CIP) is currently implemented and
managed. The project aims to raise the awareness of SMEs with regard to
intellectual property and foster their abilities to enforce IP rights
on a European and worldwide scale. The project is steered from the
Office for the Harmonization of the Internal Market (OHIM) in Alicante
and monitored from the European Agency for the CIP programme (EACI).
